Success- Thanks to You!

This Labor Day (despite my initial objections) I had to work. I was on of the co-hosts of the MDA telethon. Our station has been broadcasting the telethon for nearly 30 years. This year was a record-breaker for the amount of money raised, more than $286,000! I was elated. Last year, I went to the MDA camp and met several of the Alabama campers, some of the sweetest children you'd ever meet. At MDA camp they are given an opportunity to have fun just like every other child, no one looks at them differently because they wear a leg brace or may be in a wheelchair. In the end, I'm glad I was chosen to be one of the co-hosts, it was a priviledge to work with the dozens of selfless volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to such a worthy cause. And thanks to all of you who donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Job well done.
