Say Please and Thank You
I read somewhere or heard that it's very important to always say "please" and "thank you." It sounds simple, but there aren't enough people who practice such good manners. I was prompted to write about this after I let a car (an SUV actually) turn in front of me so the driver would not have to wait in several minutes of traffic. The least the driver could have done was acknowledge my act of kindness and throw up a hand to gesture thanks. That did not happen. I wasn't angry, but I was a little disappointed that no appreciation was signaled. Maybe this person was having a bad day or justa bad moment, but it doesn't take much for most of us to wave our hand. I have learned that "please" and "thank you" will take one very far.

Thank You Lisa for sharing your values and what seems to become uncommon, and that is courtesy. May God continue to bless you in your endeavors, you are a gifted journalist and an inspiration to many.
Lisa, my husband and I love watching the Morning Team at News Channel 19! You are such a good sport (the guys really do pick on you something awful) and your personality is too cute. You and the Morning Team have brought many a smile to our mornings. Keep up the good work!
