Choosing the Most Important Job
This week, my friend and co-worker is leaving our station for another job that will allow her to spend more quality time with her children. As a mother of two young children, working an evening anchor shift can be a lot to juggle with responsibility of taking care of kids. I respect her for what she's doing and wish her well with her new job. I don't have any children, but I've heard lots of mothers say it's the hardest job in the world. I believe it's also the most important job in the world. Raising future leaders to be productive citizens who contribute to society must be tough. I can only hope to have that job one day. In the meantime though, I offer hats off to Amy for making a difficult decision and choosing the most important job.
