No Rain, Now What?

I love warm, sunny days. I love driving with my windows down and the air conditioner on. It's wasteful I know, but try it and you'll love it too. Why is it then, I almost feel guilty when the meterologists say it's going to be another hot, rain-free day? The Tennessee Valley desperately needs some rain. We are in a drought- a nearly 20-inch rain deficit! It's hurting the farmers especially hard and I have compassion for them, but for the kids I see having fun in swimming pools and for my dog who would stay outside all day if I allowed her to, all these sunny days couldn't be better. I do hope it rains, I really do, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying the June sun.
