A Reason to Give Thanks

Despite having to work, not going home and missing the really good Black Friday sales, I have so much to be thankful for, not just at Thanksgiving but always. Rather than complain about what I don't have or didn't get to do, I'd rather spend this holiday time reflecting on those things that make me smile. I'm actually looking forward to this Thanksgiving, when thousands if not millions of us, will eat turkey and watch football.

I hope we'll all take a moment to remember that Thanksgiving really is more than just the dinner- it's the comraderie, the fellowship and the quality time we spend with those we love and who love us (even though they might not like us at times.) Of course I'd rather be home, but I'm delighted that I'll be dining and relaxing with some of my great friends here in the Tennessee Valley, and that makes me smile.

I'm also smiling because I can smile- I have life, health, family and friends, a great dog, a place to call home, a car, a job, I could go on and on. Without a doubt I am blessed and therefore, I'm thankful.

God Bless You, many don't have the mind to be thankful.
