Missed Call- Return Call?
Okay, so I need some clarification about returning phone calls. If someone calls you and doesn't leave a message, should you call him or her back? I get several MISSED phone calls each day. People call me, but they don't leave a message. What does the missed call mean? I called you, you see that I called, call me back...OR, does it mean, I called her, but she's not available right now, so never mind? Bloggers help me out... I'll be the first to admit that I don't do a great job with returning phone calls on a timely basis. In fact, I'm adding to my list of things to do better in the new year, but first I need to know if I'm supposed to return the MISSED calls!

Me and my friends make a point to NOT return calls from people who do not leave a message. To me if it's important enough to call me in the first place, then it's important enough to stay online 1 more minute and leave a brief message,even if the message says "call me back when you can" that tells me right there that I need to call them back. If they do not leave a message I will not call back. As a matter of fact if you are not in my contact list and your number pops up on my phone I will not answer, I will wait to see if they leave a message first. I hate getting calls from people I don't know
Also where is everyone that always replies to these? Probably standing in line for a Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii.
I guess I'm old school. When I call someone and they don't pick up and I think they are busy I hang up. If it's real important yes I'll leave a VM. if not I'll hang up. Caller ID is great if your being chased or whatever. Why else would you put so much trust in the Phone Co.? They charge us $2 per month to build the 911 system then they charge us to get Caller ID. They already charge us for the technology now it's $7-$10 per month so we can get what we have already paid for in the E911 System. Do a story on this...
Well I agree with both bloggers. I guess if they are on my contact list I call them when I get a chance if no VM/TM is left.But it also depends on who it is as well. So I return turn calls based on who they are (parents,family,friends,boss).
In the dating world it can be a mind thing... a control strategy in the game. As a old retired player, when I was dating I never left messages. It was a good indicator of how much she was interested in me. However it is interesting now how my love and I never leaves messages on each other's phone... however we always return each other's phone call at first glance of the phone.
