New Year- New Resolutions, Sort Of

Alas, we're saying good-bye to 2007 and hello to 2008. I've been told "7" is the number of completion, and "8" the number of new beginnings. Therefore, I'm looking forward to great new beginnings in the new year. I'm not a fan of making a long list of New Year's resolutions, because like most people, by March or April I've neglected them. I do however, have a few things I'd like to improve in my life. First and foremost, I resolve to do a better job of staying in touch with my friends. This by the way, was on my list last year, and I didn't do much better. I seem to have a problem returning phone calls on a timely basis. (I'll glady welcome any ideas anyone can offer to help me be a better friend when it comes to calling people back.) I also resolve to read more books. I wouldn't describe myself as a voracious reader, and that's not really the goal here, I just want to read more books. Many of my co-workers are considering giving up certain foods and drinks for 2008, but I'm not that bold. I love chocolate and Krispy Kreme doughnuts and McDonald's french fries, and I have no plans to give them up anytime soon. Maybe I'll just cutback if my eating gets out of control. What are your New Year's resolutions? Oh, one more thing. I also resolve to use a reusable bag at the grocery store. I have TOO MANY of those plastic bags piling up!
