Me and the Big Fish
Today and tomorrow I am working the nightside shift, anchoring the 5:00p.m., 6:00p.m. and 10:00p.m. newscasts. I am co-anchoring with Jerry Hayes, our main anchor. People in the newsroom call him The Big Fish. He's been here for 27 years and is well liked, respected and loved across the Tennessee Valley. I can learn a lot from Jerry Hayes and I'm looking forward to working with him. I just hope I can stay awake to make it through the 10:00p.m. broadcast. I am used to the early shift. I wake up at 3:00a.m. and I go to bed early. This morning however, I didn't even set an alarm clock. I woke up at 8:30 a.m. Ahh, the joys of sleeping in! I hear Jerry is in a "best male anchor" contest on a local radio station; I have to figure out how to vote for him. Good luck Jerry.

Lisa,
I'm glad you you were able to sleep in this morning.
Good Luck hanging with the big dogs.
I think you will fit in just fine because you know your job so well.
