A Slip and Slide Drive

Many of us were caught by surprise this morning when many of the roadways, bridges and overpasses were frozen! It was a mess! Fortunately, Jessica, our morning producer, called me (at 3:30a.m.) with a heads up. Still, I didn't think it would be all that bad- wrong! Just as I was crossing the overpass my car began heading in a direction I was not driving- not fun! Fortunately I wasn't driving too fast (unlike some mornings) so I was able to slow down. I drove about 20mph to get to work safely. We had to call in a news crew because there were so many wrecks and stalls. I had to wake up Dave, one of our news photographers at 4:40a.m. He was not thrilled to hear my voice. Sorry Dave.
